Emergency Services and Trauma
Sometimes it's confusing to know where you need to go when you need medical attention. As a guide to help you, the emergency department is designed to treat severe and life-threatening conditions, at four different locations. You should visit an emergency room if you or a loved one is experiencing:
- Difficulty breathing, shortness of breath
- Bone fractures, severe cuts, wounds or burns
- Chest or upper abdominal pain or pressure
- Fainting, sudden dizziness, weakness
- Changes in vision, difficulty speaking
- Confusion, suicidal feelings, changes in mental status
- Sudden or severe pain
- Uncontrolled bleeding
- Severe or persistent vomiting or diarrhea
- Coughing or vomiting blood
- Suspected poisoning
- Pregnancy-related complications

Heart and Vascular Services
Our Regional Heart and Vascular Services is a Center of Excellence. To be named a Mountain Health Network Center of Excellence, the clinical area must be recognized by the medical community, the public and accrediting bodies as providing the most expert and highest level of compassionate and innovative care.
We offer state-of-the-art heart and vascular services at all of our locations including diagnostic services, interventional cardiology, cardiac rhythm management, and cardiac, vascular and thoracic surgery.
Imaging and Radiology
Mountain Health Network’s Radiology and Medical Imaging services offer a complete range of modern techniques to diagnose and treat illness and injury. Radiologists use a wide variety of equipment to produce images that help doctors understand the structures and systems of your body and how they are working. What's more, specially trained physicians now use these images to guide them as they perform procedures to improve your health.
The neuroscience staff at Mountain Health includes many experienced and respected physicians who bring unique skills and training and have treated patients from across the United States, as well as throughout the region. Our specialists diagnose, evaluate and provide treatment for epilepsy, headache, movement disorders, multiple sclerosis, stroke and neuromuscular diseases. Neurosurgery services are available for both adults and children, including surgery for brain tumors, movement disorders, epilepsy, trigeminal neuralgia and other conditions affecting the brain, spine, spinal cord, pituitary gland and/or neurovascular system.
Mountain Health Network’s Orthopedics is staffed by highly skilled physicians and surgeons offering nationally recognized, award-winning services that treat illness and injury related to bones, joints, tendons, ligaments and the nerves they affect. Commonly treated conditions include:
- Fractures and dislocations
- Torn ligaments, sprains and strains
- Tendon injuries, pulled muscles and bursitis
- Pediatric orthopedic conditions, including scoliosis
- Degenerating hip and knee joints
- Arthritis and osteoporosis
- Problems of the hand, foot, wrist, arm, leg or hip
Orthopedics includes physicians with orthopedic specialties that include sports-related injuries, arthroscopic knee and shoulder surgery; reconstructive foot and ankle surgery; pediatric spine surgery; cartilage injuries, hand surgery, orthopedic trauma care, orthopedic oncology, total and partial joint replacement and computer-assisted surgery for hip and knee replacement.
Mountain Health Network’s pain management centers offer comprehensive acute and chronic pain management through a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals. The majority of pain management services are provided in an outpatient setting; however inpatient services are available when necessary.
